Rule the World With Love
Sep. 12th, 2006 05:22 pmI am listening to the new Barenaked Ladies CD "Are Me"!!!! I am very excited about this for several reasons I will now bore you with.
1. My life sucks unimaginably right now so a new CD by one of my favorite bands just what I needed.
2. I expected to get it much later since I had to preorder from the fan club for reasons explained later and their shipping policy made it sound like someone would be walking it to me from Northern Canada
3. I'm only 6 songs into it and already madly in love!
4. Once I finish the CD I have a bonus live acoustic version of the entire CD! That's why I had to preorder through the fan club. I adore acoustic versions of songs I like. My love for Erasure's acoustic CD knows no bounds and seeing it live was amazing which brings me to
5. I'm going to see the Barenaked Ladies in concert in late October. I can't wait! Again I tell you if you like their music at all and have a chance to see them in concert GO. They are fabulous and tons of fun live.
I've been thinking about writing this big post of the difference between religion and morality, but instead you get the Barenaked Ladies.
Oh the subject line is one of the song title, but I haven't gotten to it yet.

Date: 2006-09-15 08:13 pm (UTC)Is this available at the stores too? I want it! I'm still bummed about missing the Miami Beach Erasure concert last year. It would have been such a cool place to see them. But, I hurt my back and had to stay in bed for two weeks. Next tour, I'm going to make sure I get to one of the concerts.
I heard one of the new BNL's songs on XM and really liked it - don't remember the title - but it was something short - one or two words.

Date: 2006-09-15 08:33 pm (UTC)The acoustic CD is Union Street and it's available in stores and itunes. It's a great CD. I have a 6 disc changer in my car and switch the CDs around, but I always leve Union Street in. I read a review which said it was worth buying just for track 6 "Tenderest Moments." I thought that was an exageration until I listened to it. I can listen to that song over and over again. Someday I'll write a fic based on it because it just demands it. All the songs have been previously released so it's easy to love from the first time you hear it.
