So I Finally Caved

jule1122I now have a paid account. I couldn't resist the call of icons so I will be icon hunting now. I am currently enjoying some especially lovely ones from ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
rareouldtimes. I think any other benefits of a paid account will be wasted on me which is why it took me so long to get one. But rotating three icons was getting too hard.
LJ has done one weird thing to me since then. I clicked on a cut tag to an entry in a group I belong to. Normally at the top of the entry it will say "Bob wrote in XYZ." Only this time it said "Hi Juliet Bob wrote in XYC." Until I got a paid account, my real name was never used in any LJ stuff. My info has my name listed as jule1122 probably because at the time I wasn't sure which name they needed. So did they pull my name from my payment info? That seems a little weird to me. And it only happened with that one group. Does this happen to anyone else?

Date: 2005-08-19 08:47 am (UTC)When I first got my LJ I was all "Oh, I will just use it to post when my website updates have gone up." *nods* "Three icons is PLENTY."
So then, of course, I decided that I needed to get a paid account, because 3 icons? Just not enough. But I said, "Fifteen icons is HUGE. I fail to see how anyone could possibly need more than fifteen icons!!!!" *nods*
And then... um yeah. Upgraded to the 50 icons. And it still wasn't enough. Got Liz to make me a banner. Got a nifty little style happenin' on the page. Did dance of joy when 100 icons was announced. Hee.
And that name thing has never happened to me, but I don't think I ever visit the groups I belong to, anyway!
