Challenge #91: Blue Lights
Piece of Home
Justin’s dreams are tinged with blue. It is the color of discovery, of hope and healing, and of sadness. His favorite memories are drenched in blue. So are some of his worst, but that makes the others all the sweeter. He wakes up every morning half expecting Brian to be sleeping next to him bathed in blue light.
When Justin finally gets his own apartment, he takes the old blue lights out of storage and mounts them above his bed. He knows Brian will probably laugh and tell him he’s ridiculously sentimental, but he doesn’t care. They feel like home.
